Collective Presence

Short Order Studio works to bridge gaps between high-concept event design and the human pulse of a happening. We work with event leads and planners to help create environments that favor depth and facilitate meaning.

Beyond signature live activations, like Short Order Poetry, the studio serves as a strategic partner for hosts and planners seeking to elevate the emotional experience of their events. We combine creative consulting with tactile production, driven by the belief that the most impactful experiences are the ones where guests help shape the meaning— be that a shift in perspective or a physical artifact. As we grow, our mission remains singular: to provide the creative infrastructure that makes the mess and magic of life feel monumental.

Scott Holzman ● is a poet, facilitator, and the founder of Short Order Studio. Based in Cincinnati, he specializes in the intersection of high-touch hospitality and literary art. Scott built this practice to solve a specific problem: how to center human intimacy within large, complex gatherings. He helped develop Short Order Poetry as a cornerstone program of Chase Public while serving as its Director. The practice draws from a long lineage of poets using vintage typewriters to write for strangers in public spaces. In an era of digital overwhelm, Scott focuses on creating touchpoints for genuine human connection. He has led activations for national foundations, global leaders, and private celebrations.

Scott is a son of Cincinnati, a type 6 loyalist, a lover of ducks, and a student of the future.
